The Comfort Women Memorial in Seoul honors and remembers the women who were victims of sexual abuse by Japanese armed forces. The memorial serves to educate visitors about the history and issues relating to comfort women. There are two memorial sculptures, the "Eye of the World" and the "Navel of the World" at the memorial site. The "Eye of the World" is inscribed with the names and testimonials of 247 comfort women.
