Article 1 Purpose

① Any agreements or relevant contracts that Seoul Youth Hostel (“Youth Hostel” hereinafter) enters into shall be according to the terms and conditions defined in this agreement, and any conditions not regulated by this agreement shall be defined by the ordinance or custom.

② Youth Hostel may accept special agreements within the range that does not violate the purpose of this agreement, ordinance or custom.

Article 2 Definition of Terms

The definitions of major terms used in this User Agreement are as follows.

① Facilities: This refers to the overall facilities and operation team of Seoul Youth Hostel.

② Customer: This refers to a user who uses the facility, who agrees to the facility’s terms and conditions and makes a reservation by providing personal information.

③ Reservation: This refers to a contract concluded between the facility and the customer in relation to the use of the facility, such as accommodation and rental.

④ Reception: This refers to the facility approving the customer’s request and proceeding with the reservation.

⑤ Cancellation: This refers to the customer canceling or canceling the reservation.

Article 3 Other Rules

If necessary, the facility may separately announce its operating policy. If this User Agreement overlaps with the operating policy, the policy will take precedence.

Customers must comply with the regulations and precautions for use of accommodations and seminar rooms separately set by the facility.

Article 4 Calculation of Rate

[Accommodation]

①  Room rates are confirmed at the time of reservation according to the notified amount.

② Check-in time is 15:00 and check-out time is 11:00.

③ Additional fees will be charged per each person If room capacity exceeds due to customer problems. 

     And if number of guests does not meet the capacity, the standard room rate will be applied.

④ Additional fees may be charged for the overtime If guest exceeds the check-out time

[Seminar Room]

① The rental fee is based on the published amount. Please check the rental fee with the reservation team in advance.

② If rental exceeds the contracted hours, additional charges may apply for the overtime.

Article 5 Reservation

① Reservations can be made as the following.

“Reservations for Youth Hostel are only made through telephone or online

② Reservations are made upon the consent of the person wishing to use the facility to this User Agreement and receipt of the reservation by the reservation team.

③ The customer guarantee payment with a credit card, and must pay 100% of the total amount on the day of reservation.

④ Anyone wishing to use the facility must read the ‘Hostel Regulations’ and sign the signature on it to these User Agreement.

Article 6 Receipt and return of Room Key

① Guests shall receive the room card key at the front desk upon check-in, and return it back to the front desk upon check-out.

② If room key is lost, the customer must immediately report it to the front desk to get a new key issued, and open the room door using the new key. 

Article 7 Registration of Personal Information

Youth Hostel may require the following information to anyone who wishes to make reservations.

① Booker name, Guest name, Date of birth, Nationality, Gender, Address, Passport No, etc.

② Other information that Youth Hostel may require

Article 8 Denial of Reservation

Seoul Youth Hostel may deny reservations in below situations.

① The request for accommodation does not apply to this agreement

② Seoul Youth Hostel is fully booked with no room or conference room openings.

③ The intended guest is acknowledged of possible actions that violate the ordinance on rooms and conference rooms use

④ The intended guest is confirmed as an infectious case.

⑤  The intended guest carries an illegal firearm.

⑥ Lodging accommodation or venue rental is not available according to the regulations such as the Legislation of Korea.

Article 9 Cancellation and Change

Cancelling or changing reservations are made only through the phone, and Youth Hostel may cancel reservations in following situations.

① Reservation applies to the terms in denial of reservation

② Registered information during reservation or while staying is false

③ Deposit is not made

Article 10 Cancellation Fee

Seoul Youth Hostel may charge the cancellation fee as follows, when the reservation is entirely or partially cancelled or changed.

[Individual Reservation Cancellation Fee Regulations]

① Cancellation or Changes for 7 days before the use date: No penalty
② Cancellation from 6 to 3 days before: 30% of total amount will be charged
③ Cancellation from 2 to 1 day before : 50% of total amount will be charged
④ Cancellation on the day of reservation: 100% of total amount will be charged

[Group Reservation / Seminar Room Cancellation Fee Regulations]

① Cancellation or Changes for 16 days before the use date: No penalty
② Cancellation from 15 to 4 days before: 30% of total amount will be charged
③ Cancellation from 3 to 1 day before : 50% of total amount will be charged
④ Cancellation on the day of reservation: 100% of total amount will be charged.

※ "The days" that defined in the above policy is based on the business days excluding weekends and public holidays.

※ In case of a natural disaster, a full refund is provided.

Article 11 Refund

If reservations are cancelled or changed by guest, the refund process is as follows.

[Cash]

① Reservations are cancelled or changed only on the phone, and remittance charge is deducted.

② Calculate the refund amount by deducting remittance charge from the total amount

③ Refund is made 2~3 days after

④ Refund is transferred to the customer’s account

[Credit Card]

① Customer must visit in person or cancel/change through the phone, and credit card fee is calculated.

② Credit card fee is charged on the credit card

③ Cancel the credit card transaction approval for the deposit

Article 12 Operation Hours of Facilities

The operation hours for the hostel facilities are separately posted, and may change according to the circumstances.

① Main entrance of the building: Youths are limited from using between the hours of 22:00 ~ 06:00.

② Information Room: 07:00 ~ 21:00 

③ Communal Kitchen: 07:00 ~ 22:00

④ Laundry Room: 07:00 ~ 22:00

⑤ Lounge: 07:00 ~ 23:00

Article 13  Personal information processing policy

① The facility processes and retains personal information that has been consented to during the retention and use period of personal information or when collecting personal information from customers within the period of use. This parts related to this follow the website's privacy policy.

② The facility strives to protect members’ personal information, including member registration information, in accordance with relevant laws and regulations.

However, the facility is not responsible for any information exposed due to reasons attributable to the user.

③ If a customer registers or distributes illegal actions or postings during the reservation process, such as actions or postings that interfere with the public morals or violate national security, We can view the customer data and submit it to relevant organizations.

Article 14 Obligations of the facility

① If the facility recognizes that opinions or complaints raised by customers are justified, it must process them as quickly as possible.

We will do our best to post a notice or send a phone call or email to the customer if prompt processing is difficult due to circumstances.

② In order to provide continuous and stable service, the facility must repair or restore the facility without delay when a facility failure or loss occurs.

However, if there is an unavoidable reason such as a natural disaster or facility operation, notice and guidance will be provided to customers.

Article 15 Obligations of the customer

① Customers must comply with the matters stipulated in this User Agreement, all regulations, notices and operating policies set by the facility, and relevant laws and regulations. Also must not engage in any acts that interfere with other business or damage the reputation of the facility.

② Customers cannot transfer or gift their right to use or other status under the use contract to another person without the explicit consent of the facility, and cannot provide them as collateral.

Article 16 Responsibility

The facility is not responsible for any accidents resulting from the customer's failure to comply with the facility's rules and terms and conditions.
